What is CoffeecApp?

Coffee cApp is an app that makes your Coffee break easier. It includes a safe, easy and convenient system for payment via smartphone. Paying for a product at a vending machine or topping up your e-wallet has never been so simple! Scan the Coffee cApp QR code that you see on the vending machine, and within a few seconds, a credit will be transferred and displayed on the vending machine to enable your purchases.

What do I have to do?

Once you’ve downloaded the Coffee cApp app, sign up. You can buy from the machine by putting money in your e-wallet or by adding a credit card to your profile (not compulsory). It only takes a few seconds!

How are purchases made?

There are two different ways of making a purchase with Coffee cApp: direct purchases charged to your credit card and purchases via a virtual e-wallet, which can be topped up with cash at the vending machine, or with a credit card. When at the enabled vending machine, choose your preferred payment method and scan the Coffee cApp QR code. Within a few seconds, you will receive a message of confirmation, and you will be ready to enter your selection on the machine, and the system will automatically debit the required purchase amount.

Why can I no longer log on by manually entering the distributor code?

This is because in many cases coffee cApp codes are no longer a simple 5-digit number, but a longer and more complex alphanumeric string. For this reason, the only way to connect to a vending machine is to scan the QR code. If the label on the front of the vending machine is faded or unreadable, please send a report to your operator from the CONTACTS page to replace the label.

How do I top up my wallet?

To top up with cash, follow these easy steps:

  1. Connect your e-wallet to a vending machine;
  2. Insert a few coins into the vending machine;
  3. Disconnect your e-wallet.
Can I top up my wallet with my credit card?

Yes, in this case, you don’t need to be near a vending machine. Go to the “Payments” section of the app and choose the top-up credit amount (note: you need to have added a valid credit card to your profile).

What is the difference between selecting my wallet or a credit card as a payment method?

If you choose “wallet”, your balance will appear on the vending machine, and all your purchases will be deducted from the available balance. You can, therefore, buy multiple items in wallet mode.

If you choose “credit card”, you will be asked to choose a maximum value to pre-authorise: choose the highest value closest to the price of your selection. Once pre-authorised by your bank, the value will appear on the vending machine so you can select your product. Once the purchase is complete, coffee cApp will notify the issuer of your card of the actual amount to be debited. Note: you may receive a notification that shows the maximum pre-authorised value, but don’t worry: only the value of your purchase will be billed. In credit card mode, you can only make one purchase at a time.

I received a text message or a notification for an amount higher than my purchase, why?

The most recent regulations regarding credit card payments require that you “pre-authorise” an amount on your card BEFORE confirming the final charge. This amount is chosen by you when the payment process is initiated. Once the authorisation has been granted, your bank could send you a notification or a text message containing the pre-authorised value, which may be higher than the value that will actually be charged to you (equal to the price of your purchase). Note: the entire pre-authorised amount may remain unavailable for a maximum period of 30 days, depending on the issuer of your card, and this could happen even if the sale was not successful (product release failed). We therefore invite you to check your bank statement at the end of the month for confirmation.

Can I top up my old key with Coffee cApp?

No, you can’t top up a key using the Coffee cApp app.

The app won't open or is blocked. What do I do?

Try to close the app and then restart it. If you have the same problem again, contact this address coffeecapp@n-anditalia.com

The app is not responding or does not connect to the vending machine. What do I do?

Coffee cApp needs an internet connection to function correctly. Check your phone for a valid GPRS data signal, or connect to a Wi-Fi network.

My wallet balance has not updated with the last transactions. Why not?

Your e-purse credit and the list of the latest transactions are normally updated within a few seconds. In some situations (like if there are connection problems), it may even take up to a few minutes for an update to take place. If you think the app has not registered your latest transactions correctly, check for a signal, then log out and log back in again. If the problem continues, contact us from the “contacts” section of the app.

Where can I use Coffee cApp?

Coffee cApp may be used in every vending machine with the Coffee cApp symbol.

How much does it cost to use Coffee cApp?

Paying with Coffee cApp is completely FREE. You will only be charged for your purchase amounts or top-ups, without any added fees. When inputting your credit card details, a transaction of 0.05 Euros will be processed, but this is just to check the validity of your card. The same value will be subsequently canceled and you won’t be charged anything.

Are my card details safe?

Yes, your credit card details will be stored on a secure server, managed by a major bank (Monte dei Paschi di Siena), according to PCI Security Standards Council specifications. These details therefore cannot be accessed by N-and Italia Srl (Coffee cApp’s service provider) or by the vending machine operator.

What if my mobile phone is lost or stolen?

If your phone is stolen by someone or lost, send an e-mail to coffeecapp@n-anditalia.com to ask for your account to be frozen or terminated. As an alternative, download coffee cApp on a different mobile, log in with your credentials and remove your credit card or delete your account therein.
